Dev Log 5 – 11/11/22


At the start of my week I evaluated the current progress of my code and decided I would change my prototype goals in order to make the scope more achievable.

Instead of enemies shooting bullets and having to kill these enemies, I switched to an endless bullet survival game. The bullet spawn and player movement code was easily transferred over, and by the end of the week I had finished the basic spawning of one bullet type and allowed it to kill the player. The player’s score also increments over time.

The primary mechanics to implement next week include a start/end screen, more bullet types and music during gameplay.
